While some people may claim the recession has ended and the recovery has began, this is simply not not true, as 4.2 million people are still without jobs and collecting unemployment benefits in the United States alone. However, it does appear that some progress has been made. Still, one must look ahead to the future with optimism. Also, one only has to look at issues surrounding the financial meltdown, to see that the global economy, much less the United States economy, is clearly not as of yet out of the woods. Also, when an individual attempts to do a post recession evaluation, it becomes even clearer as one can see that in addition to the many people filing claims for unemployment, there are many more who for philosophical or political reasons do not want to work for a number of corporations, and really, who can blame them? After the Enron debacle and now the bank buyout fiasco, it is a wonder anyone would want to put their trust in any bank or corporation with regards to security related to income or retirement.
